Play is an important part of a child's life and can encourage development of motor and gross skills and emotional maturity. For example, shaking a rattle and singing a song with a child may seem inconsequential, however, in reality it teaches language, communication and helps develop motor skills. Something as simple as stacking and knocking over blocks allows toddlers to discover maths and science concepts, including shapes, gravity, balance and counting.
There are many ways to learn through play, included open ended toys which allow children to explore the world around them and learn about things like space, colours, shapes, movement and social roles, as well as indepedent thinking. Then there is play with explicitly educational toys which are more guided and can teach things like literacy, numeracy, geography, etc. We offer a range of quality toys and play items to help children develop, grow and explore the world around them and their role in it.
